Science is totally awesome.

*) Bugs that eat waste and shit out petrolium…no, seriously.

Because crude oil (which can be refined into other products, such as petroleum or jet fuel) is only a few molecular stages removed from the fatty acids normally excreted by yeast or E. coli during fermentation, it does not take much fiddling to get the desired result.

*) Evolutionary jump documented in a laboratory in bacteria.

“It’s the most profound change we have seen during the experiment. This was clearly something quite different for them, and it’s outside what was normally considered the bounds of E. coli as a species, which makes it especially interesting,” says Lenski.

Documentation of the last Dear Tonight show ever coming soon, at Late Night Wallflower. Suffice to say it was a fantastic show, I loved every second of it. Also, how can you not get it up (metaphorically) to The New Dress?
