So apparently at a certain point in his career, Joe Shuster, best known for being one half of the team that created Superman, was hard-up enough for money that he ended up doing fetishistic/”erotic” art for illegal magazines (using that word loosely) using the likenesses of his characters, more or less.
Pretty kinky, eh? Makes you look at your Golden Age comics in a slightly different light. There’s a book out about it now, called Secret Identity: The Fetish Art of Superman’s Co-Creator Joe Shuster.
