webcomix – “Misery Loves Sherman”

I don’t remember how I found out about Chris Eliopoulos’s Misery Loves Sherman.  I know he’s done some work for Marvel in a Franklin Richards book and is a letterer also, but I think it was indirectly through Twitter that I discovered the adventures of Sherman and his buddies.

I’m a sucker for kids with big heads having misadventures with non-human sidekicks, so I naturally sorta latched onto this comic.  Sibling infighting, imagination, adventures, parents just not understanding…this is pretty much right up my alley.

On top of that I love supporting fellow Greeks, and with a great, simple, black-and-white art style that never overcrowds the panels but also never makes it feel empty or inadequte as a cartoon, I love checking up on a pint-sized Death and a less-than-sympathetic alien who looks like the size of a really big bowling ball.
