We interrupt the broadcast for this important message…

_____

So we’re taking a temporary break in the continuous pop-culture and subculture broadcast here at Fistfight At The Arthouse to talk about something else;

I need you go here, and sponsor one of us.  Like me perhaps, or my beautiful fiancee.  The two of us have a team going for the 2010 “Take Steps To Be Heard for Crohn’s & Colitis” walk in June in NYC.  Tessa’s brother Anthony suffers from it, so it’s a cause that’s near and dear to both of us.

We’re trying to raise $1000 (that’s one thousand), which I know is a lot especially these days, but at the link you can donate as much or as little as you want.  Digestive diseases are incredibly debilitating and painful and affect something like 1 in 200 people in the US.  Here’s the official info –

“Take Steps for Crohn’s & Colitis is CCFA’s national evening walk and celebration of the nation’s largest event dedicated to finding cures for Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.  Over 1.4 million American adults and children are affected by digestive diseases — one in every 200 Americans! While many suffer in silence, Take Steps brings together this community and encourages them to make noise and be heard.  The money you raise through Take Steps helps support patient programs, education efforts, and furthers crucial research.  In the past two years alone, we have been able to bring together over 75,000 people and raise over $13 million to help further our mission.”

Anyway, like I said, every little bit you can donate helps a lot for us meeting our goal and making a difference in helping to raise awareness, as well as fund research and resources.  Check it out!  GO TEAM CLEVELAND STEAMERS!
