random comic review – “Victorian Undead: Sherlock Holmes vs Zombies!”

I’m a little bit of a Sherlock Holmes nerd, not gonna lie. And because of that it’s a little weird to find non-Doyle written Holmes works.  I’m not saying that there aren’t any, because the plethora of very amazing films and TV series have proven that you definitely can do some great stuff with the character.  When it’s bad though, it really stands out.

However, this definitely wasn’t bad. Wildstorm’s Victorian Undead: Sherlock Holmes vs Zombies, despite being a little bit ludicrous (but what good comics aren’t?), is a quality Holmesian adventure against legions of the undead and a spectre from the past, all in the name of saving not only London, but all of England and possibly the world…

Look, it’s Sherlock Holmes fighting zombies.  It’s not the scariest horror comic ever but it’s definitely a fun time if you’re looking for something to mix up the pile of horror comics you’re reading this time of year.  I’ve never been let down by a Wildstorm title really, so take my word for it, Victorian Undead‘s a pretty cool addition to your library.
