The comic genius who brought us Understanding Comics (a book I consider one of my own personal Bibles) turned 50 today.
Happy birthday, Mr. McCloud. Thank you so much for keeping comics a serious storytelling medium, hope you keep it up. Also, thank you for helping to push and inspire me to make my own comics and treat the whole experience as an exercise in pushing the limits of telling stories.
